Welcome
We understand.
We're here to support you.
We've also lost loved ones to homicide.
There is hope - for justice, for recovery, for peace.
Our mission is to fight for justice for the families of unsolved homicide victims. There are so many cases in Springfield. People are afraid to talk to the police. There isn't enough proper surveillance equipment in neighborhoods where the shootings happen. And there are few resources that get to the root causes of gun violence, like poverty, drugs, ignorance, and hopelessness.
"When my son was killed, no one helped me. I didn't know what my rights were, what services were available, what to do. I felt overlooked by the police officers and my community. That's why I started MORE. I don't want anyone else to have to deal with the murder of a loved one on their own. And I want MORE to also have a role in gun violence prevention." - Juanita Batchelor, Founder .
We can't do this on our own. We need the help of everyone in Springfield and the surrounding cities and towns. Together we can make Springfield a safe place, where young people feel respected, loved, and excited for life. Together we can make Springfield a just place, where families of murder victims and missing persons get some amount of peace and closure. Together we can.
