No one is prepared for the aftermath of a murder. Juanita experienced first hand the lack of resources offered to Springfield families dealing with the tragic crisis of homicide. We help families interact with law enforcement, identify advocates, get help for surviving children, navigate court appearances, and grieve.
We're fighting to force Springfield's elected officials make our neighborhoods safe through compassionate and effective policing. They need to identify and apprehend our children's killers, and get the guns off our streets to prevent future tragedies.
Springfield youths need mentorship, resources to explore their unique gifts, wholesome recreation, and safe spaces to gather and just be young. We believe a young person who feels loved and supported by the Springfield community will be much less likely to become involved in destructive behaviors and violence.
